Afrika Revenge is expected to give fans a foretaste of their upcoming album when they perform at Misty’s at Newlands Shopping Centre.

The gig will see two guests, Prayer Soul and a South African singer Itu Tshabane, who won the Castle Milk Stout Talent search contest held in 2014.

Both artistes will be featured on the Afrika Revenge’s first album after the reunion.

The new album is due out later this year.

Speaking to The Herald Entertainment, Mehluli “Taz” Moyo, the other half of the famed group promised fans an epic show.

“We have had a good run so far and tonight we are presenting some new songs featuring guests performing artistes in the likes of Prayer Soul and Itu.

“Both are amazing artistes with great energy and I believe it is going to be an epic show filled with energy and spark.

“The good thing about Misty’s is that it provides for a cozy atmosphere and there is so much in the offing from the restaurant,” Taz said.

He promised fans more such shows in and outside the capital.

The group, which is known for its sound — Qaya music — reunited last year after eight years of separation.

While on separation, Willis “Afirika” Wataffi who is the founding member of the group continued with music and formed yet another outfit and Taz ventured into events management.

Besides operating two different entities, the two maintained that the reunion was forever and would continue producing music as Afrika Revenge.

Their debut “Afrika Revenge Presents Qaya Musik” topped the charts and won the group a string of accolades including both the ZIMA and NAMA awards.

They are famed for songs like “Wanga” and “Buwe Buwe”.
