The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) has developed a five year strategic plan for the development of African countries towards achieving the African Agenda 2063. Speaking during the ACBF 25th anniversary celebrations ACBF executive secretary Professor Emmanuel Nnadozie said the new plan will address issues of technical gaps which African countries are experiencing at the moment.

“African universities are falling to focus on critical things which are essential towards achieving developmental goals. “Going forward ACBF has finalised the strategic plan for 2017-2021 strategy which is our next five year-strategy towards achieving African Agenda 2063,” he said.

The ACBF was established by African governments, bilateral and multilateral partners, in response to the continent’s capacity problems. Its key areas include the promotion of transparency and accountability in public sector management and the ownership of developmental processes at national level. – BH24.
