A brighter future for children

Ruwa Town Junior Council stands up for children’s rights through restoring their morals, values and identity through education.
A nation corrupt . . . a people misunderstood . . . a language not heard and a future without a next generation. A small town it may be but dynamite comes in small packages.

The Ruwa Town Junior Council is here for the children to bring them back to their motherland and build a Ruwa we desire.

Yes, we may have been colonised 34 years ago but we are here to remove our minds from being mentally colonised. We have lost focus and direction to a vision we all dream to have but do not know what it is.

Youths wish to be like Bill Gates, Barrack Obama and Beyonce but no one sees the great mentors we have, namely his Excellency President R. G. Mugabe, Strive Masiyiwa and Oliver Mtukudzi. Ruwa Junior Council aims to educate the youths that each and every one of us has a purpose and your response to any situation one may be facing determines your destiny.

It is not about us as a council to make sure that each child in Ruwa has the right to education, shelter, food, health and love, but it is up to us to make sure that no child is oppressed by being denied the above rights and many others.

However, these rights come with a great deal of responsibility which we are going to train the youths of Ruwa about.

Through listening to the youths as we are the voice of the voiceless, we will make a difference.

As we are also youths we will have a greater understanding of what is lacking and causing the youth to lose their identity.

As the Bible says in Luke 18 vs 16, “Let the children come to me…” Through co-operation, participation, wisdom, knowledge and understanding, the pioneers of the Ruwa Town Junior Council will create a home in the hearts of the youths.

Great thanks to Ruwa Town Senior Council and alderman, Lungani Zwangobani for this opportunity as the first ever Ruwa Town Junior Council.

We promise to be as tough as our President Robert Mugabe, as partial as a wedding veil, as busy as a bee and most of all as loving as Mother Teresa.

As each weakness will be built to a strength to develop our Zimbabwe through the Ruwa Town.
