THREE uncapped players — Brian Chari, Herbert Chikomba and spinner Wellington Masakadza — have been named in the Zimbabwe Test squad expected to leave the country today for Bangladesh. Wellington’s inclusion means that the Masakadza brothers have had three players in the national team after Hamilton and Shingirai represented their country. The Bangladesh-Zimbabwe series will include Three Tests and five One Day Internationals.

Bowler Solomon Mire and former Zimbabwe Under-19 right-handed batsman Peter Moor have also been named in the squad.
The duo, together with bowlers Neville Madziva and Timycen Maruma, will replace Chari, Wellington and Shingi Masakadza and Chikomba for the shorter version of the game.

Having last played against West Indies early last year, the experienced Craig Ervine makes a welcome return to the team.
The young turks impressed Mangongo who feels they should be given their chance to represent their nation.

Tinashe Panyangara has also been drafted back in the team after being overlooked in the later stages of the ODI triangular because of a disciplinary issue.

Test Squad:

Sikanda Raza-Butt, Hamilton Masakadza, Brendon Taylor (Test captain), Craig Ervine, Vusi Sibanda, Tendai Chatara, Elton Chigumbura, Tinashe Panyangara, Brian Chari, Tafadzwa Kamungozi, Natsai Mshangwe, John Nyumbu, Shingi Masakadza, Wellington Masakadza, Herbert Chikomba, Malcolm Waller.
